About TNA
Tokyo Netball Association is a non-profit organisation focused on promoting netball in Tokyo and surrounding areas to build a stronger and more inclusive community. Through organising and supporting netball and other community sporting events we hope to improve the health and wellbeing of our local communities, foster a strong sense of teamwork, and create a supportive environment for all. Join us in our mission to make a positive impact through netball.
About Netball
Netball is a fast-paced, team-based sport that focuses on movement, strategy, and teamwork. Played by two teams of seven, the game involves each team striving to keep possession of the ball to ultimately score goals in their goal circle. Each player has a specific position with defined areas they can move in, which encourages strong communication, spatial awareness, and tactical play.

Our mission at Tokyo Netball Association is to promote and grow netball in Japan. We are committed to creating an environment that strengthens personal growth, teamwork, and inclusivity through netball.
Through our programs and events, we hope to improve the health and activeness of local communities in Tokyo in both physical and mental health by providing a safe and fun social activity for people of any age, background, gender, or ability.
Get Involved
There are many ways to be a part of the growing netball community in Tokyo!
1. Join as a Player – Participate in training sessions, games, and competitions.
2. Volunteer – Help with events, admin tasks, or game-day support.
3. Become a Coach or Assistant Coach – Guide teams, run practices, and support player development.
4. Officiate – Train as an umpire to help maintain fair and safe play.
5. Become an Executive Officer – Contribute to planning, organisation, and long-term strategy.
6. Help with Marketing & Social Media – Promote activities, manage content, and grow community engagement.
7. Assist with Fundraising – Organise fundraisers, sponsorships, or special events.
8. Provide Professional Skills – Offer expertise in areas like photography, first aid, translation, or event management.
9. Become a Supporter – Attend events, cheer for teams, and be part of the community.
10. Help Run Training Workshops – Share knowledge and help develop skills in the community.
